The 1987 Lowland yacht BRAVEHEART 2 is a full-beam yacht with an impressively voluminous interior. At 120GT, she is a prime example of the renowned Lowland 80 motor yacht series. Featuring a robust aluminum hull and superstructure, BRAVEHEART 2 exemplifies strength and durability. Designed by Pieter Beeldsnijer and constructed by Neth Ships Lowland Yachts BV in Holland, she combines classic craftsmanship with modern amenities. Her design ensures she can be easily handled by a couple, making her an ideal live-aboard yacht for extended periods.
She is equipped with numerous redundant systems, ensuring safety and reliability on all voyages. With economical cruising at around 12 knots, she has a total fuel consumption of just 57 liters per hour for both engines and generators, providing a range of approximately 2,000 nautical miles.
BRAVEHEART 2 boasts a rich history, initially launched for the U.S. market and later transported to New Zealand. Purchased by her current owners in 2013, she was registered in New Zealand and sailed across the Tasman Sea to Australia. This journey required full Cat 1 safety equipment, highlighting the yacht's adherence to the highest safety standards. In 2016, she underwent an extensive refit at Boat Works in Coomera, QLD, with over AUD 1M invested in upgrades, including a new hydraulic platform, engine rebuild and conversion to a 230VAC electrical system.
The interior of BRAVEHEART 2 is both spacious and luxurious, featuring light beech wood with dark timber trims and fully carpeted areas. The open galley, with granite countertops and a breakfast bar, seamlessly integrates with the main salon. The salon offers a bar area, a large C-shaped sofa, and a dining area with bench seating for six. The master cabin, accessed via a dedicated companionway, includes a queen-sized bed, ample storage, and his-and-hers bathrooms with a central shower stall. Additional accommodations include a forward VIP cabin and port and starboard twin cabins, each with en-suite facilities.
The wheelhouse, located at the forward end of the main deck, provides excellent visibility and access to the side and foredecks through sliding doors. The flybridge, accessed via an interior staircase, offers a helm, guest seating, and ample storage for safety gear and tenders. The exterior design of BRAVEHEART 2 features an aft deck that includes a teak cockpit area and a sheltered mezzanine level with an outdoor table and chairs. The foredeck features a sunpad and anchor windlass, making it an ideal spot for relaxation.
