Riviera luxury motor yacht owners have rafted-up in record numbers during an enjoyable afternoon of fun and friendship on the Swan River in picturesque Perth, Western Australia.
The raft-up, hosted by the experienced team from Riviera and Belize dealer R Marine Perth, saw over 200 people aboard 43 luxury Riviera motor yachts cruise in to Matilda Bay for the successful record attempt.
Basil Lenzo – who owns the 5800 Sport Yacht Intrepid with his cousin (also) Basil Lenzo and their friend Wolfgang Jovanovic – said it was his first time at a Riviera Family event.
“I had been promising myself for a long time that I would go to one of the Riviera events and it really was a pleasant surprise,” he said. “My only regret is that I haven’t attended one earlier.”
Passionate Riviera owner Scott Menogue – who owns the 47 Open Flybridge Isle with his wife Jenny and children Eleyah and Ari – said the boats were arranged beautifully, providing the Riviera Family with a front-row seat for the afternoon’s entertainment.
“The R Marine Perth team worked tirelessly and it was a great day of camaraderie and catching up with friends – I just wish I could attend more of them,” he said.
Ben Hames – who owns the 5000 Sport Yacht Leblon Lady with his father William – also paid credit to organisers.
“They did a great job of bringing all the boats in they way they did and it was thoroughly enjoyable,” he said. “My favourite part of the day? The whole day … and the fact my mates could finally attend and see how great Riviera events are.”
Riviera is renowned internationally for enhancing the fun and fulfillment of its global Riviera Family of luxury motor yacht owners, with a regular program of social and boating education events as well as cruising-in-company adventures to idyllic destinations.
R Marine Perth dealer principal Michael Pitman thanked West Australian Riviera owners for their support to set the new Riviera Raft Up Record.
“The team here is absolutely thrilled at the high level of participation and commitment from our valued owners – what a great way to finish the year,” he said.
“Seeing our Riviera Family enjoying the boating life, catching up with friends and making new friends is something really special.”
