Renowned Australian luxury yacht builder Riviera is preparing to roll out the red carpet to showcase three brand-new examples of on-water excellence as part of a dazzling seven-yacht display at the largest boat show in the world – the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show – from 5-9 November 2015.
Making their Americas Premieres in Florida will be the two newest members of the luxury marque’s true blue-water classic Riviera Flybridge collection – the 57 Enclosed and 52 Enclosed models – as well as the new presidential design of the stylish and sophisticated Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht.
And, of course, there’s a special Fort Lauderdale evening of spectacular Riviera-style celebration in store too.
Riviera chairman and owner Rodney Longhurst said the entire Riviera display in Fort Lauderdale will be a beacon of boating excellence and will also include Riviera’s 565, 515 and 445 models from the sporty and adventurous SUV crossover collection, as well as the timelessly classic 54 Daybridge from the Belize Motoryachts range.
“The name Riviera is synonymous worldwide with hallmark luxury, blue-water sea-keeping abilities and unrivalled owner support,” said Mr Longhurst. “Our stunning Fort Lauderdale showcase will reflect Riviera’s unparalleled passion for excellence in all areas of design, technology, performance and luxury livability.”
Riviera 57 Enclosed Flybridge – Americas Premiere
The embodiment of innovation
Riviera’s Florida-based international sales director Chris McCafferty says the three- stateroom/two-bathroom Riviera 57 Enclosed Flybridge – fully enclosed on four sides of the flybridge, with full-beam master stateroom on the accommodation level and a brand-new cockpit and mezzanine design – is a stylish and true blue-water yacht.
“This is one of the first motor yachts in the world to offer the flexibility of choice between pod and shaft drive packages to suit the individual owner’s geographic requirements,” he said.
“In the Americas, standard propulsion in the 57 Enclosed Flybridge is via twin IPS 1200 pod drives (662kw/900hp) with three joystick controls. There are two engine options available for this model – twin IPS 950 (533kW/725hp) pod drives (also with three joysticks) or the new CAT C12.9 (735kW/1000hp) shaft drives with bow thruster and optional Express Joystick System. All these drive package options offer the full features of the innovative glass bridge navigation and CZone digital switching systems.”
The 57 Enclosed Flybridge is the embodiment of innovation, from her fresh-thinking design to her state-of-the-art navigation systems, and right through to her final fit-out and luxuriously polished finish.
Her inspiring new cockpit and mezzanine design creates an entirely new indoor/outdoor living experience that takes flybridge yacht design to another level.
The new 57 Enclosed Flybridge with twin IPS 1200s has a cruising range of approximately 379 nautical miles at 28.4 knots, depending on load and sea conditions.
Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge – Americas Premiere
The future is now
The new Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge, also from Riviera’s supremely seaworthy Flybridge collection, is being seen for the first time in the Americas and is testament to the luxury marque’s commitment to being one of the best motoryacht-builders in the world.
“The 52 Enclosed is a three-stateroom/two-bathroom accommodation design with the master able to be located forward or aft. She also features innovative new flybridge and new cockpit designs as well as a superbly equipped aft galley that openly connects to the cockpit via the large awning window and sliding salon door,” said Mr McCafferty.
“This new model – powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS 950 pod drives (533kW/725hp) with D11 engines and with joysticks at the helm and in the cockpit – features a modern new helm design with enough room for three 17-inch screens as well as a raft of more-subtle features from bow sprit to swim platform that enhance her onboard livability and luxury lifestyle attributes.”
“The new 52 Enclosed Flybridge is testament to our genuine desire and commitment to be amongst the best in the luxury motor yacht industry globally.”
The 52 Enclosed Flybridge from Riviera with twin IPS 950s has a cruising range of approximately 378 nautical miles at 25.3 knots, depending on load and sea conditions
Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht – Americas Premiere
New presidential design
The new ‘presidential’ design for the supremely stylish 6000 Sport Yacht confirms her credentials as ‘the ultimate on-water entertainer’ and is further evidence of Riviera’s commitment to catering to a wide range of boating pursuits and individual styles.
“The presidential design for the 6000 Sport Yacht provides an enlarged floor plan for the full-beam master stateroom, creating an even more expansive and luxurious private retreat for owners with additional storage and a casual dining and sitting area, complemented by a superior level of comfort and opulence in the master ensuite bathroom that our global family of owners have come to expect from Riviera,” said Mr Longhurst.
“In just 12 months, the Riviera 6000 Sport Yacht has proven very popular worldwide, with over 20 new models now purchased by aficionados who appreciate Riviera’s blending of legendary blue-water performance with contemporary hull windows and portholes, a large open cockpit with BBQ center and undercover seating and dining areas, dual electric sliding salon sunroofs and fixed skylights, a very impressive sports-styled helm, luxurious and flexible three or four stateroom accommodation options and three bathrooms, as well as an option for a utility room or crew cabin.”
For the 6000 Sport Yacht, Riviera has employed the revolutionary Volvo Penta propulsion system with twin IPS2 950s (533kW/725hp) pod drives and D11 engines which, in addition to two joysticks offering superior handling and maneuvering in tight quarters, also features impressive fuel efficiency, low noise levels, long cruising range and a high top-end speed.
The 6000 Sport Yacht from Riviera with twin IPS 950s has a cruising range of approximately 268 nautical miles nautical miles at 26 knots, depending on load and sea conditions.
World-leader in innovation
Riviera is renowned internationally for its willingness to embrace new technology and this will certainly be on display with all its latest models at Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in November.
Riviera chief executive officer Wes Moxey says all three models making their Americas Premieres feature a wide range of standard inclusions that, in the past, might have been considered optional, including the innovative touchscreen navigation systems which integrate seamlessly with the intuitive CZone digital switching technology embraced by Riviera and now available on every new model.
“All Riviera models on display at Fort Lauderdale showcase how we are striving to make boating even easier and more enjoyable for experienced boaters and also those aspiring to take the helm to enjoy the unique and truly rewarding lifestyle that only boating offers,” he said.
“The Belize 54 Daybridge, for instance, now offers owners the choice of either Cummins Zeus or Volvo Penta pod drive packages and the model on display in Fort Lauderdale this year has a twin IPS 950s (533kW/725hp) with D11 engines and three joysticks, with optional joystick steering whilst underway and glass bridge navigation features.
“The SUV series, as another example, is the perfect pairing of two legendary designs, each with its own formidable pedigree. The SUV design combines the high-performance, blue-water cruising and fish-raising abilities of the supremely seaworthy Riviera Flybridge with the single-level leisurely entertaining features of the very popular Sport Yacht series.
“To date almost 90 sporty and adventurous SUV yachts have been built from the three-model range at the world-class Riviera facility on Australia’s Gold Coast. In fact the growing number of Riviera SUV owners around the world tell us it’s like having two boats … in one.”
Mr Moxey said all Riviera and Belize luxury motor yachts feature built-in and convenient access to every key maintenance point, ensuring service costs are kept to a minimum.
“Of course, this example of thoughtful, built-to-last consideration for our Riviera family of owners is a key part of our ethos of doing all we can to help our valued owners achieve … ‘the ultimate boating experience’,” he said.
Riviera and Belize owners are invited to be among the first in the Americas to inspect the latest luxurious models of Riviera excellence at the marque’s stunning red-carpet, on-water showcase at C Dock at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show from 5-9 November 2015.
