Riviera strengthens its competiveness on the world stage even further

Just days after being named the Australian Marine Industry Exporter of the Year, revered Riviera today presents two impressive new yachts to further enhance the much-loved luxury marque’s competiveness on the world stage.

The supremely seaworthy new Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge and the sporty and adventurous new Riviera 525 SUV are displayed for the first time as part of a stunning red-carpet, on-water showcase at the home of Riviera on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The $22.5 million Riviera Festival of Boating line-up is the iconic luxury yacht builder’s largest ever display at an Australian boat show, and also forms part of the 2015 Gold Coast International Marine Expo.

Riviera CEO Wes Moxey said these newest additions to Riviera’s world-class collection more accurately reflect a nomenclature based on the International Organisation for Standardisation’s ISO guidelines as well as the European Union’s CE mark.

“Having now built over 5100 yachts throughout our rich 35-year heritage, the name Riviera has become synonymous around the world for its hallmark quality, luxury, lifestyle, style, innovation, blue-water sea-keeping abilities and unrivalled owner support,” said Mr Moxey.

The large master stateroom of the new 52 Enclosed Flybridge and 525 SUV has full headroom, ample storage and a level of luxury befitting an Australian-built Riviera

“The new 52 Enclosed Flybridge and 525 SUV are two exciting examples of Riviera refinement,” he said. “They are testament to our genuine desire and commitment to compete with the best in the luxury yacht business globally.”

Mr Moxey said that competing internationally under the ISO and CE industry standards enhances Riviera’s scope to grow global brand awareness and customer loyalty to even greater heights.

“Our resolve is further strengthened by the fact Riviera has just been announced as the Australian Marine Industry’s Best Larger Export Performer, as well as the Australian Marine Exporter of the Year,” he said.

“Both the new 52 Enclosed Flybridge and new 525 SUV designs feature a wide range of standard inclusions that, in the past, might have been considered optional upgrades, including the innovative Glass Cockpit navigation and CZone digital switching systems that make boating so much easier and more enjoyable.

“Each new model features new helm designs with enough room for three 17-inch screens, as well as many more-subtle refinements from bow sprit to swim platform that enhance their onboard liveability and luxury lifestyle attributes.

“Both models share a flexible accommodation plan that comprises three staterooms with portside master and two bathrooms and supreme levels of comfort. The third stateroom is very generous with full-sized side-by-side bunks and plenty of storage.

“They also offer fixed transom seating, with options for storage or live bait tank, as well as a new cockpit wet bar, larger freezer capacity and smart storage solutions.

“Of course, these thoughtful considerations for our Riviera family of owners are a key part of our ethos of doing all we can to help our valued owners achieve … ‘the ultimate boating experience’.”

The new Riviera 52 Enclosed Flybridge comes standard with the proven and popular twin IPS2-950 pod configuration with D11 engines, each delivering 725hp. Standard power in the new 525 SUV is the new-generation and fuel-efficient twin Volvo IPS2-800s (626hp) pod drives, also featuring forward-facing, counter-rotating propellers, with an option of IPS2-950s.

“Having now launched hundreds of pod-driven luxury pleasure boats, Riviera is at the forefront of a marine revolution offering impressive fuel economy, high performance, quiet operation, more internal space and, of course, joystick control,” said Mr Moxey.

“The innovative joystick offers slow-speed maneuverability when backing up on a prize catch, in addition to precise docking. Indeed a skipper – either solo or with a novice crew – can simply push and twist the joystick to make the boat respond immediately, pivoting in place or crabbing sideways into a berth that’s just long enough to fit the vessel,” he said.

“Both the 52 Enclosed Flybridge and 525 SUV feature joysticks at the helm and to starboard cockpit. The 52 Enclosed also has an aft flybridge docking station to starboard which can be located on the port-side if owners desire. Both models also carry 3500-litre fuel tanks for longer-range cruising.”

Riviera offers 16 different models from 36 to 77 feet across four model collections: the supremely seaworthy Flybridge, stylish and sophisticated Sport Yacht, the sporty and adventurous new SUV series, and the timelessly classic Belize Motor Yachts.
In fact, Riviera is Australia’s most-awarded builder of luxury motor yachts.
