Superyacht concepts are a dime a dozen, but the groundbreaking Shaddai superyacht concept is one-in-a-billion. Conceived by Italian designer Gabriele Teruzzi, the 492-foot beauty is unlike any other yacht that has been envisioned. The most dramatic feature is the nearly 1,100-square-foot owner’s suite, cantilevered 125 feet above the aft deck. The suite’s private 1,130-square-foot terrace offers a bar, a dining area, and an infinity pool with a glass wall for optimal ocean views. Closer to the waterline, a second infinity pool on the upper deck features a waterfall that falls into a pool on the main aft deck below. On the lower deck a 3,000-square-foot, open-air beach club is equipped with a large aquarium, circular sun lounges, and a glass ceiling that looks up into the upper-deck pool. Inside, there is a spa and another formal dining room. The yacht, which could accommodate up to 32 guests in 16 separate suites, has not yet been commissioned, but Teruzzi estimates it would cost half a billion dollars to build—meaning the completed ship will truly become the king of the sea.
