This pure racer/cruiser is the second hull designed by Nauta with Judel Vrolijk naval architecture and built by Baltic Yachts launched in 2015, after the 116’ Doryan
Since the first briefing the challenge to design this pure racer/cruiser was extremely interesting for Nauta, binding with some ‘key’ demands concerning performances, elegance, comfort.
The clean and balanced deck and hull lines, the important sail area, the light displacement of only 88 tons the Nauta Design general concept, exterior and interior design, the Judel-Vroljik naval architecture, make this 115’ ready for competitive racing and perfect cruising.
A very high performance hull, result of a thorough CFD intense study, accomplishes the client’s request to race successfully in several races. The use of pre-preg carbon sandwich, a powerful sail plan and a remarkable stability, achieved by the lifting keel extending from 3.65 m. up to 5.85 m. down.
On the deck you find race oriented hardware and systems as the transversal hydraulically controlled jib sheeting which allows not only fore and aft but also inboard/outboard jib trimming.
The interiors features low weight furniture with composite panels covered with thin veneer. The styling is simple, clean and essential, with a smooth chromatic balance transmitting to the guests a deep feeling of peace and quietness through the gentle combination of oak wood and light coloured linen panels.
After Doryan and waiting for RPNB (Reichel Pugh Nauta Baltic) 130’, this 115’ is representing the state of the art of Nauta Design in the racer/cruiser sailing yachts.
