The gigantic motor yacht project Thunder departed from the Lürssen shipyard in Bremen, Germany this morning as she heads out to sea for the first time where the 135-metre yacht will be put through her paces during an intensive sea trial period. Christian Eckardt was on the shores of the Weser river this morning to capture her as she cruised past.
Thunder was launched in April this year, 24 months after her keel was laid in 2015 and has since had the remainder of her traditionally-styled interior outfitted. Designed by Espen Oeino, Thunder is expected to cruise predominantly in Asian waters after her delivery.
