Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) have announced the sale of the 44.33-metre Flexplorer 146, Maverick, for an experienced owner, who was introduced by Rezida Yachts. The superyacht features an extended bow rake and therefore extended length from the original concept.
Sales Director for CdM, Vasco Buonpensiere, comments, “When we first introduced our concept of flexible explorer yachts, we knew it would meet the taste of yacht owners eager to purchase a yacht which allowed them to sail far and wide. A yacht with a high degree of flexibility to adapt to different situations, able to carry big tenders and all.”
Maverick’s exterior lines have been penned by Hydro Tec, while her interior is a collaboration by designers Francesco Paszkowski and Margherita Casprini. The superyacht Flexplorer 146’s interior has been designed to reflect the wishes of her owner, including functional aspects adopted from earlier models of the Flexplorer, such as an asymmetrical main deck layout. This design feature allows for a port side exterior passageway, while providing additional space for her main saloon.
Her main deck features a large open galley, which is complete with a central island where guests can gather and enjoy an informal meal. Her exterior main deck space features a pool, which when covered provides additional storage for deck furniture and water toys. The superyacht can accommodate her guests between seven staterooms, which are spread across three decks, including one owner’s stateroom situated on the main deck forward, a second owner’s stateroom on the upper deck, one single stateroom on the upper deck and four en suite staterooms on her lower deck.
Consistent with the superyacht’s explorer capabilities, she is complete with a custom-built A-frame crane, which sits flush to her deck once her Super Air Nautique G25 tender is launched. She has space to store a rescue boat and Jet Skis on the upper deck forward, which doubles as a lounge space when at anchor.
To the aft, the Maverick features collapsible bulwarks, which transform her aft deck into a 135 square-metre beach club. Additional standout features include a gym, sauna and a diving centre. The Maverick’s owner plans to use the superyacht in the Meditteranean and eventually head to Northern latitudes to complete the Northwest Passage. She is equipped with an ice-belt of 12mm steel plates, among other technical equipment. Performance-wise, the Flexplorer 146 sports twin MTU 10V 2000 M72 diesel engines and has a 5,000 nautical mile range while cruising at 10 knots.
