Lee Marine brokers Martin Holmes and Jim Poulsen recently travelled to Amsterdam to attend the Feadship Brokers Academy 2017. This bi-annual event gathered together 22 global superyacht brokers and took them on a unique journey into Pure Custom Creation.
The three-day course amplified all the elements of Feadship including visits to the DeVriesand VanLent shipyards to discuss current projects in build, Feadship HQ and DeVoogt Design studios. Working alongside designers and naval architects from DeVoogt, the participants were set the challenge of creating an innovative yacht the likes of which has never been seen.
Martin Holmes, General Manager for Phuket Thailand based Lee Marine states that, “this amazing experience gave birth to some incredible thinking and resulted in unique ideas.” The hugely talented DeVoogt team developed these concepts into actual design presentations.
This informative and memorable experience culminated with a team day on the Amsterdam canals celebrating King’s Day in style. Adding a traditional touch, the group mounted Solex vintage bicycles to tour through the colourful tulip fields.
With a focus on pure custom builds, an impressive order book and a brand new shipyard under construction in Amsterdam to accommodate larger yachts, the future is bright at FEADSHIP; the future is ORANGE.
