Description: This yacht has to be seen to be fully appreciated. The Bougainvillea 62 is a serious blue water cruiser that really sails with 200 nautical mile days being the standard for this yacht. Designed in a way that she can easily be sailed by a couple or family the boats sail plan and deck layout is well thought out with this in mind.
The pilothouse is one of the best features of the boat and becomes an extension of the cockpit offering shelter from the elements with great all round visibility a chart table nay station and helm to strb and a sea berth settee to port. The cockpit is well sheltered behind the doghouse that houses the pilothouse and can seat up to 8 people comfortably. The cockpit and side decks are laid with 12mm teak with no screws. Up fwd the boats has a sail locker just aft of the anchor locker and is huge, in fact the amount of storage on this yacht is a credit to the builder and designer. The high freeboard of the yacht offers a dry sail it most conditions as well as creating amazing volume in the accommodation.
Below decks the finish and craftsmanship of the silky oak interior is truly outstanding. This is certainly no production yacht, the attention to detail in the joinery and fit out to have access panels to all systems on the boat is something that you do not often see. The master cabin is fwd with ensuite and separate shower and small computer desk to port. The saloon is one of the highlights with a large C shaped seating around a beautifully crafted circular table to port of this is a full length sea berth and settee all with storage underneath. On the strb side the U shaped galley is designed for the sailor that enjoys cooking with well appointed appliances and great bench space as well as huge fridge space. Aft of the galley is a single quarter berth which leads back to engine room which has great access to all systems, there is also an extra 12v freezer in here. On the port side the quarter berth houses a full queen size double and acts as the guest cabin with ensuite.
Overall this yacht is very well designed and superbly built to Australian offshore standards. She would be a surveyors dream to inspect. For further details on this beautiful yacht please contact brokerage@leemarine. Com
